Jeannine
I learned
to appreciate “fresh” organic grown produce back during my youth,
on my native land of Madagascar. When I say “fresh”, I mean we
picked the papaya, mangoes, coconut, etc. right from the trees, the pineapple
right from the plant… Our summers were spent on my family’s
plantations on the East coast of the Island. We grew vanilla, coffee,
cloves, banana, as well as black pepper for exportation. All was
organically grown!
Helping
here at the “Farm Stand” is a treat for me, bringing back fond
memories of those summers. I have always liked to watch things grow. Tomatoes
and zucchini have always been easy for me to grow anywhere I have lived, except
for here! I just yesterday bid “Adieu” to my 2 “fried” tomato
plants…L I did not even attempt to grow zucchini!
I love to
cook and try new recipes. I especially like to learn all I
can about good and healthy eating. When I am not helping here,
I'm at home
doing something, or I’m at Penney's working part time
in the jewelry department. I love interacting with people!
I’ve
been married 39 years. My husband and I have 2 grown children
and a grandson. I feel very blessed and I thank God every day!! |
