Commander Joe Archie
Lieutenant Joe Archie is the WALETA Academy Commander. He is from Lake Havasu City Police Department and has been with them for 18 years. He previously worked for the Tucson Police Department for just over 6 years. In his 24 years experience he has worked as a patrol officer, helicopter pilot, detective in a narcotics task force, Sergeant in charge of a narcotics unit, and Lieutenant in Patrol, Detectives and Administration where he currently oversees Dispatch and Jail Operations. |

Class Supervisor Ed Arvizu is a 14 veteran of the Bullhead City Police Department. His leadership and supervisory skills were derived from his law enforcement experience and military backround. His additional assignments include being a Field Training Officer, General Instructor, Certified Bomb Technician and SWAT member. |

Recruit Training Officer Richard Chambers
Recruit Training Officer, Richard Chambers is a five year law enforcement veteran employed by the Mohave County Sheriff's Office. He is currently stationed as a Patrol Deputy in the Kingman area. Deputy Chambers previously worked for the Coconino County Sheriff's Office as a Detention Officer, where he rose to the rank of Detention Officer II. While working for the Coconino County Sheriff's Office he assisted in training new officers at the facility as well as the Detention Officer Training Academy. Deputy Chambers is currently a member of the Mohave County Sheriff's Office Tactical Operations Unit as well as the Honor Guard.

Recruit Training Officer Evan Kunert
Recruit Training Officer Evan Kunert is a seven year law enforcement veteran employed by the Kingman Police Department and has performed duties as a Motor Officer, Field Training Officer and FLEX Detective. Officer Kunert is a certified AZPOST General Instructor as well as an Accident Reconstructionist, and he holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. Officer Kunert received the honor of being named Officer of the Year in 2004 by the Kingman Police Department and in 2005 by the Kingman BPOE. |
